i wrote about proscar and iam on met 1500mg but i also take mega vitimins. i feel a great improvement and this works for me. i also watch every thing, i mean every thing i put into my mouth. i have alwaws been thin. 5'2" and 106 to 110lbs. but i have always been extreamly careful about my diet probably because my mother was 250lbs. but it came to a point where i was eating very low caloric intake and very poor choices of food to maintain my weight. i didn't realize that i was IR and protein malnutritioned untill i was very sick and had all the symptons of my pcos come to a head. things that i had been able to manage for years were now impossible to deal with and i had no choice but to really get answers and medical help. two years later i am feeling so much better and i look like my old self but i am healthier than ever . i live with pcos every day but people would never know it and what i go through on a daily basis. but at least i can fucton again and have regained some quality of life again. my diet has changed completly. i've never eaten so much in my life and my weight hasn't gone up at all. i try to follow the zone diet as a guideline. yes it gets boring but feeling lousy all the time gets very old too. i am strict with myself because the flip side of not taking care of myself is too scary. i am never going back to that place again as long as there is meds, diet, vitimins, excersize, and anything i can do to combat this. i have a life to live and i wont let pcos effect me any more than it has to. i eat only veggies, fruit in moderation, flat breads once in a while, lean meats, high protien foods such as eggs cottage cheese tuna and fish. i only drink water and decaf cofee in a.m. if i don't do this and waver for a couple of days i get sick and then it takes a few days to recoupe so its just not worth it to cheat. it has to become a way of life.stay away from caffine,it pounds the adreanal glands. you might get the high you need to function, but your adreanals suffer. take vit c and milk thistle to support the liver, it is the filtering system for your body. schizandra is for adreanal support. vitex for menstrual and ovaries. calcium/magneesium important too. flaxseed oil,vit E. i,m big on tofu and soy too. there are alot of supplements you can take. read and research. i am lucky to have a cousin who is educated in this feild extensivly and gave me an outline of what to take and the dosages that are right for me. luckily my gyno is also a woman who promotes the usage of natural remidies along with meds for support of the body and agreed with the program my cousin had set me up on. so i feel very comfortable with this. i also drink designer whey protien shakes. almost takes like a treat. one thing my cousin stressed was the makers of supplements.he only trusts certain brands . i get barleans flaxseed oil and most of my others are a brand called enzymatic therapy. you can get just about every thing from this maker . dia-comp is from this company. you can order from them online or get from a vitimin outlet in your area. ester-c from country life. country life is another maker he trusts. designer is a company tat has all different kinds of protein powders. well am i long winded or what? i can't spell either but i hope this info will help someone and my spelling and typing errors will be over-looked.
