Rose, my teen daughter gets depressed on the birth control pill. She is just very progestin sensitive. She has recently started Diane35, which is prescribed everywhere but the US. I have consulted several doctors and they all agree it is a great drug for PCOS but just not available in the US. You can get it in Canada, Mexico, Costa Rica, New Zealand, Europe, etc....also off of the internet. It has a substance that mimics a progestin but is not actually one. It is an antiandrogen which means it should help with the hair loss and the hair growth. She has only had one cycle on it but feels wonderful. Take care and good luck!
