else? Is this a part of taking MET? I know some are on Spiro, as well as MET, and it is a diuretic. Does that help with the water retention <<

Monica, Spironolactone is a diuretic so I suppose it may counteract any water retention problems on MET. My mother also takes it and is not on spiro and she does have water retention problems. Not sure if it's directly related to MET or not.
