Reply: Monica: "Re: at what point should i think about metformin?" I was on Demulen for 5 years, and now I am taking estradiol and progesterone. My periods are 45 days since d/c ing Demulen, but I have had 2 that were 60 days. Without the progesterone, my acne is bad, and it's not so great even with the progesterone. I am taking Celexa for depression. I tried low-carbing, but it doesn't help with acne/menses. I am seeing a endocrinologist who prescribes the estradiol/progesterone. But I am not sure this is the answer. In a few months, I want to try and get pregnant. I don't think it will be possible under the current circumstances. I am afraid of meds with severe side effects, but I really want a solution. I am normal weight, not hirsute. Suggestions please? Plus, give me recommendations for good doctors...
