I've been taking the Avandia for almost 3 weeks. I have lost 6 lbs since then. It has eliminated my cravings for sweets :) My understanding though is that it takes about 6 weeks to be "fully therapuetic". I take 8 mg a day, but in divided doses of 4 (brkfst) and 4 (dinner). Just curious, what is your target maximum dose? Has your doctor mentioned one? I've had no side effects.
