I'm a little worried about this lactic acidosis now myself after reading the post. I was started on 1000 mgs for 1 week, then up to 1500 mg for a week, now in 2 days I'm suppose to go up to 2000 mg. My family physician is the person that diagosed my PCOS after hearing my complaints of facial and body hair, obesity, lack of periods, etc....all those good old PCOS symptoms. Then she ran a gasting glucose and insuline and the nurse call me a few days later and said my insuline was high, a sure sign of PCOS. I wished I had asked how high now. I have a appointment with a endocrinologist my doctor recommended Aug. 17... but I'm worried about upping my glucaphage as RXed. My only problems so far as been fast trips to the toitty...and a excessive amount of gas. The occasional nausea has finally subsided for the most part.......but do you think it will start again when I up the glucaphage? What ya'all think At Mon, 31 Jul 2000, Monica wrote: >
