Hi Cris. As you will see from some of my posts, I have had 2 bad experiences with glucophage. Both times I was violently ill and I experienced an increase in hiritism, scalp hair loss and weight gain. Furthermore, the Dr. did not investigate the interaction between the glucophage and Tagamet, which I was taking twice a day. The effect was that it multiplies the effect of the glucophage and I became very, very ill. I think this medicine needs to be carefully monitored when used for PCOS, as not all of us can tolerate it.
