stephanie, my gyn took an ultrasound and ran many tests on my hormones before concluding i have pcos. not to mention all the problems i have because of it. I was diagnosed in April and i had my appt last thursday. I went in all prepared with articles and magazines about pcos and the meds you can take. I was told either birth control or provera. after arguing with my dr. for about 20 minutes about why i WON'T use birthcontrol or provera (very bad effects to both) He agreed that glucophage probally was my best bet. He only checked my liver and kidneys. I'm so excited to be on it. I've been on it 3 days now. not experiencing much except alittle diarriah here and there but all in all i'm happy for once i got my way. thanks, melissa
