Hi, I have been pretty much a lurker on this list, but I want to say that it helps me very much to know that this isn't "all in my head" as one dr. told me. (Needless to say I am no longer seeing him!!).

Could someone please tell me what this d-chiro-inositol is? Is it something for infertility or is it for the insulin resistence. Unlike a lot of you, I don't want to get pregnant ( My son is 19 years old!!). Instead my goal is to loose weight and do something about this hair that is pretty much taking me over.... I have been on glucophage ( isn't that the same as metformin?) for awhile, but have been off about a week, because I haven't been able to get to the drugstore. I know I will have to get used to it all again. I feel kinda lucky because I take some other medicine that has the opposite effect on the bathroom situation so they kinda cancel each other out and I don't have to much problem in that area. I am looking forward to your answers and becoming more a part of the group.

Thanks for taking the time to read my message.
