Met and weight lossFrom: Cyrilla (anonymous@obgyn.net)Tue, 25 Jul 2000 14:49:11 -0700
Hi, I've been on met for just under two months. My side effects have more or less gone. (They were never too bad). I've yet to have a period, and I've gained weight. Its no mystery, I've been eating poorly, including sweets and other carbs. I shared before that I was Somersizing, and I am having a hard time getting back into the swing of it (not the diet's fault!!!). I always knew from what I'd read that the met isn't a weight loss drug. By using it, I can more effectively metabolize my food, but I still need to take action in order to lose weight. If I could sit here and honestly say I was eating properly, and I still gained the four pounds I've gained, I'd be bummed. But, that is not the case!!! I'd love to hear some inspiring met-with-proper-food-and-exercise success stories!! I have a bumpy rash on my upper arms that, except for during my three pregnancies, I've had pretty much constantly since my teens (I'm 35 now). It seems to be going away, and my skin feels much smoother. I wonder if that's a sign that my hormones are shifting from the met?
