Can someone educate me?

I have heard the wonderful stories about Metformin, but my doctor keeps shaking her head when ever I bring it up. My sugar levels are fine, my thyroid looks good as well as my adrenal gland. Somebody recently told me that I don't have to have anything wrong with my sugar to be a Metformin candidate, is this true? She won't listen and I am so frustrated. I know, time to move on...trust me, I am. But in the mean time, I need to know of any website or any place that I can read up on the latest study or effects of Metformin on PCOS patients. God, all I want to do is conceive.
