Why did I stop using it? A false sense of security and a little experimentalism, I think. Things were looking good, and I wasn't sure whether it was the minoxidil or some of the other things I was doing that accounted for it. E.g., after a decade on cyproterone acetate, which gave me osteopoenia, a new endo found that my estrogen levels were so low they were undetectable. She kept me on the CPA, cuz it made a big difference to the body hair, and put me on ortho tricyclen for estrogen and progesterone. So I didn't know whether the minoxidil or the hormones were making the difference and I thought I'd save hte cost of the minoxidil if I could get away with it. Silly me.
