My neice, (age 19) who is in the process of being diagnosed, was on 60 medications changes in one year for depression (failed suicide attempts), obsessive cumpulsive disorder, self mutilation, her absent periods, and even ADD. Like many I think she's been misdiagnosed and really has PCOS (she has all of the classic symptoms). Depression is just one of the symptoms fo PCOS. Have you been diagnosed? I hope you get the help you need. Depression is life threatening, just like a lack of oxygen to someone with Asthma.
