Re: depression...just me?From: gayle (anonymous@obgyn.net)Sat, 15 Jul 2000 01:15:52 -0500 (CDT)
Our 23 year old daughter was put on antidepressents last October. I tablet seemed to do the trick then she went off the pill and crashed and had to go up to 2 with not much improvement. In March she was diagnosed with PCOS and started on Met and low carb. She has been on Metformin 3 weeks now and is happier than she has been in a few years and has already reduced the tablet back to one. She had always suffered from highs, lows, PMT and mood problems when taking the pill and now we find it was probably the Insulin causing the havoc all this time. She is so happy to be feeling "normal" and functioning at an easier level, it's really great to see. The great thing about this forum is there is plenty of people waiting to help you. Please keep in touch and let us know how your doing. - Gayle At Sat, 15 Jul 2000, Molly wrote: > >Yes, I think depression is a big part of PCOS for many women. It has been >for my teen daughter.
