Re: bcp QuestionFrom: Kristy (anonymous@obgyn.net)Thu, 6 Jul 2000 15:42:52 -0700 (PDT)
Judy, I'm sorry to hear that you are having problems with the Desogen. Are you taking the Desogen thru the brand name Ortho-cept, or the actual brand name Desogen? I was on Ortho-cept for a spell and that helped me a great deal. I also spent some time on Mircette but I'm not sure if it did anything for my cysts b/c they were already quite small. I've had to change bcps a few times b/c I was trying to find the right one to treat my endometriosis. Thankfully I've now found the right bcp for me to take for my endometriosis. I'm not sure how or if the one that I am taking now is of any help to my cysts but that's so hard to say for sure. I currently take Ovral, but I wonder if maybe taking the Lo/Ovral would work for you. I know that I took Lo/Ovral back in 1995 to regulate my periods and it did a fantastic job for me but I had to stop b/c I was getting dizzy spells. It turned out that the dizzy spells I was getting had nothing to do with the birth control pill. I had an inner ear virus going on at the same time that I stopped taking that pill. When do you see your dr again next? I hope that something works out for you real soon. Take care, Kristy :) Jacksonville, FL
