I have been on Glucophage for PCO since March. I basically informed my doctor about Glucophage as a medication for PCO and she agreed to put me on it after reading the information I provided to her (a reversal of the usual procedure, I know). She put me on 500mg a day, then up to 1000mg a day after 2 months. I am not currently trying to get pregnant, just trying to lose weight. My question is: what is the correct dosage per day for this medication? I have read posts in here that say 2000mg per day. Since my doctor is just going by what I am telling her I would appreciate any advice. I am also on Desogen, and I have lost only 10 pounds since March. Thanks in advance.
