Tracy-

Hi, I have been taking 1500 mg of metiformin for 7 weeks so far I have not seen many benefits from the medicine but I have had my share of discomfort. Like you if I don't eat carbohydrates with the medication I have TERRIBLE cramps, diarreah, and gastritis. This is very hard because I would like to begin the a low carb diet but can't. I don't have answers to your questions but want you to know that your not alone. I have noticed my stomach feeling some better now after 6 weeks. And Rolaids and Tums have helped alot on acidic stomach.

When do most people feel the benefits from Metiformin??? I am concerned it will not help:(

Thanks, Jacque
