Re: How soon should I notice changes on Metformin?

Diana,

I noticed significant mood changes and lessening of hypoglycemic feelings by one month. By two months I realized my husband and I had not fought in weeks (due to even hormone levels, I guess). At two months I decided to lose some weight and didn't have to try nearly as hard at exercising and dieting to lose 15 pounds in 45 days. I ovulated the first month and continued to do so, with lessening period pain every month until I no longer had any at all (by five months). My chin whiskers grew in much slower, too. I am now off it due to pregnancy and can hardly keep up with the repeat plucking.

Sincerly, Maggie Scheel
