Re: Met and Spirolactone or AldactoneFrom: Avalos (anonymous@obgyn.net)Tue, 27 Jun 2000 08:10:22 -0500
Hi, I've been on Spiro since January and Met since April.... I started to notice that the Spiro was working just before I started Met, and within two weeks of starting Met, I noticed a drastic difference... I think Met just may help the Spiro along.. it makes sense when you think about it, since the Met is attacking the cause of the hormonal imbalance (IR).... Anyone else have any thoughts on this? Just got officially diagnosed about a week ago and started the Met... you gals have all been very helpful with info. that helped me to point my doc in the right direction.. Knowledge is power with something like this, especially. Anyhow, is anyone on Met and Spiro or Aldactone? I had requested a RX from my doc as I had been on the Spiro for a short time, years ago, and it seemed to help with the hirsutism which is so not fun... I am always on whisker patrol! Does the Met help with those symptoms?
