Yes, you need to get your insulin checked. It sounds like your doc is using the treatment that was being prescribed prior to the last several years. He probably is not up on the latest research that shows pcos is probably caused by high insulin. If you go to "inciid,pcos,faqs or pcosupport.org", you will find the info you need. Copy it and take a copy to your doc, see if you can get him to change his mind, if not find a new doc who is pcos friendly.
