HI - I am on Met and starting slowly helps a lot. I tried the 1/2 pill per day increase that that really helped. My endorcrinologist gave me some great advice - don't take met with milk or dairy products (at the same time). It makes the diarrhea worse. Cooked oatmeal works to prevent the diarrhea, but provide fiber to move things along nicely. This helped me since in the past the only recourse was to take over the counter diarrhea medication which took me to the other extreme. Hope this helps. Ruth ;-)
