WOMEN'S SYMPOSIUM ON PCOS

The Hormone Foundation and PCOSupport Canada are proud to announce the Women's Symposium on Polycystic Ovary Syndrome. The day long Symposium will be held on June 24, 2000 in Toronto, Canada, at the Royal York Hotel.

AGENDA

9 am - Noon: The Hormone Foundation Public Education Forum on PCOS (free of charge)

Noon - 1 pm: Luncheon with speaker Barbara Ondrusek, Health Matters reporter on the CBC Evening News ($10 US)

1 pm - 6 pm: PCOSupport Canada Inaugural Conference ($30 US)

POLYCYSTIC OVARY SYNDROME PUBLIC EDUCATION FORUM

The Hormone Foundation will host a public education forum at the Royal York Hotel in Toronto, Canada on June 24th from 9am-12pm. International panelists will provide the latest information on the diagnosis and treatment options for PCOS, as well as practical healthcare information for women. During the first hour of the forum, each panelist will present information on an issue related to PCOS. This will be followed by a two-hour question and answer session, when the audience will have the opportunity to have their personal questions answered.

Forum Panelists:

Dr. Robert Jaffe, President, The Hormone Foundation and Director, Center for Reproductive Sciences at The University of California, San Francisco. Dr. Jaffe will discuss the diagnosis and management of PCOS and will introduce the other forum panelists.

Dr. Ellen Greenblatt, Assistant Professor, Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, The University of Toronto.Dr. Greenblatt will discuss the management of infertility in PCOS.

Dr. Andrea Dunaif, Chief, Division of Women's Health at Brigham and Women's Hospital and Director, Harvard Medical School's National Center of Excellence in Women's Health. Dr. Dunaif will discuss the connections between PCOS and insulin resistance and PCOS and heart disease.

Christine Gray DeZarn, Founder, PCOSupport(tm), the Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome Association. Ms. Gray will discuss the importance for women to be their own health advocate and to participate in their own medical care.
