Amy...
I've got two miniature pinschers and three cats... tell me about keeping
things where they can not get at them! Also, a big reason I keep them in my
briefcase is so I can take them in the morning when I log on and at night
when I log off! (I take the dosage twice a day so that I don't forget!...
the logic worked for me when I was on a business trip... I brush my
hair/teeth before I leave the hotel, and also before I leave for dinner,
presto... the pills are always at hand!)
Glucophage has been tested and has been shown to be safe for use in
non-diabetics, it does not cause diabetic reactions, and in fact it actually
reduces the incidents of "crashing" that PCOS women experience (like I used
to... I would get dizzy, get headaches, disoriented, tired... all because my
blood sugar would drop, tied into my IR... go figure...)
Anyway, nothing wrong with worrying, we all need to be careful and make sure
that we are doing things that will be good for us in the long run.. I was
just trying to reassure you, that's all. I'm a bit like you, in that I do
not like to take medications if I do not have to & I take Met & Spiro
because I need them to help me get normal. oh well.
Clara

Hi Clara - Unfortunately, I have to keep my meds out where I can see them
otherwise I tend to forget - and with 3 mischeiveous cats, things tend to
get
"misplaced" - especially things that rattle.... Mine rolled under the
cabinet...
I guess my only worry is that Glucophage is used to treat diebetes,,,I
wonder what
all it can do to your body if you do not have diebetes....I know our insulin
levels are screwy....I am just a paranoid person...You know me, Clara...I
have
always been funny abput taking something lifelong...
