Re: Metaformin and weight loss. Help.From: Avalos (anonymous@obgyn.net)Fri, 9 Jun 2000 13:33:58 -0500
Hi Amy...
>From what I have read and from what I have learned from my doctors, Met is I don't worry about becoming dependent on it... I already know that my body needs to depend on some kind of medication for the rest of my life in order to control my PCOS... that's about the status quo with all of us here, I'd say. Finally, I was warned that missed dosages would decrease the effectiveness of the medication (kind of keeps your body in a yo-yo state, and that is not good); try to keep your daily dosage in a place where you will not forget and where it is not likely to be lost (I keep my pills in my laptop-briefcase, so I always know where they are, no matter where I am. If I go on vacation, they are with my hairbrush/toothbrush in my cosmetic bag). Anyway, try not to worry too much.... Help. i HAVE A QUESTION - DOES ANYONE WORRY ABOUT THEIR BODIES BECOMING DEPENDANT ON MET (GLUCOPHAGE)?? I WORRY ABOUT THAT - I RECENTLY MISPLACED MY PILL VILE AND DIDN'T TAKE IT FOR 2 DAYS...I HAD THE SERIOUS SHAKES THE WHOLE TIME.... AMY Marie wrote:
