Hi I'm 32yrs old and have be dianosed with PCOS since I was 21. I am being treated for it with metformin (glucophage). However you struck a chord with me because my Mother had a hysterectomy about a year and a half ago and we were just talking the other day wondering if you could still be diagnosed after a hysterectomy. Obviously you can. I advised my Mother to have her doc check her for this. I was told by my doc this can be hereditary and Mother has all the symptoms. I wish I could tell you more about the glucophage, but I just started it myself. All I know is that it can cause some intestinal dicomfort, but so far I haven't had any.Good Luck!!!!!
