Birth Control Pills - Help!

Please bear with this rather long e-mail; I really need feedback:

The doctor who originally diagnosed me w/ PCO last September put me on Lo-Estrin birth control, and I did really, really well on it. However, last month I had a second opinion from a reproductive endocrinologist (who specializes in PCO and I found him on the PCOS support website), and he put me on Ortho Tri-phasel. I have read that the tri-phasel type of BC are the worst for PCO, but when I told him that, he said no and cautioned me to be careful of what I read off the internet. My concern is this, I am not doing well with the tri-phasel (cramps, headaches, bloating, irratability, etc.) and I don't know if my body is just going through an adjustment phase or if this pill really is not good for someone with PCOS. His explanation was that Lo-estrin still has some form of testosterone in it. He further recommended that if I could get a BC called Sharon, that it is THE best for PCOS women. I would really appreciate to feedback on this issue. If anyone would like to write me privately, please do so at anonymous@obgyn.net

Thanks.
