The inositol that is being worked on by Insmed (http://www.Insmed.com) is not quite natural as it is being manipulated. The inositol found in health stores is natural - found in such things as legumes, orange peels, etc. Insmed is chemically making it stronger by taking just the right handed side (has to do with the molecule) of inositol which is the part that helps women with PCO. Supposedly the stuff found in health stores is both left and right-handed and you'd have to take a lot of it for it to help with PCOS (and something like 20 orange peels). Some women claim that the natural inositol has helped them. Another thing that some PCO women have tried is acupuncture. I don't know much about that though. The PCOSA email list can give you better information. Check out PCONatural List This is a list specifically for natural treatments of PCOS.
