Hi Debbie, You need to see an MD about taking Spironolactone, or another anti-androgen. Apparently, it is quite successful in reducing hair, but may take 6 months to a year of taking it daily!!! You also need to be sure you are taking a high enough dose. I am on 100-150 mg a day; I take one with each meal. It seems to help reduce the hair--I have been on for 4 months. I also had laser treatment, which I recommend, but it is expensive and not completely effective. You cannot take spiro if you are pregnant since it might hurt the male fetus. Do talk to your doc about it though. Good luck!!!! Eileen. Write back at: r_eileenhunter@hotmail.com
