Re: metmorfinFrom: Avalos (anonymous@obgyn.net)Tue, 30 May 2000 12:49:53 -0500
The side effects you mention are the most common ones experienced by women who take Metformin. If you feel that the side effects are unbearable, contact your doctor.. it may be that you are unable to tolerate Met. If they are not unbearable, just unpleasant, you may want to cut back your dosage (say instead of taking a pill, cut it in half and just take half the pill, so this for a week, then slowly increase to the recommended dosage.. this helps many women who have trouble getting used to taking it). Over time, Met's side effects decrease, and then they only reappear sporadically, if at all, and not as badly as they do during the first month or two after you begin taking it.... the magic words? Just hang on! It WILL get better!!!! -----Original Message----- From: anonymous@obgyn.net [mailto:anonymous@obgyn.net Sent: Monday, May 29, 2000 12:28 PM To: Multiple recipients of list PCOS-MEDICATION Subject: metmorfin i am currently taking metmorfin for pcos and however, i am experiencing side effects (gas ansd diarrhea).
