I was just participating in a study where I was taking a study drug that I believe was Avandia (other possible drugs were Metformin or a placebo). I took provera to jumpstart my cycle and then took the study drug, and my temperature every morning. After 14 days I did ovulate (my temperature jumped 6 degrees on day 15), and my progesterone levels tripled in a week. I went in for testing and found out I was pregnant! I didn't notice any significant weight loss while I was on the drug. But your temperature should be a guide. Have you tried Clomid?
