Hi, I'm 25yrs old & have just been diagnosed with PCOS 3mos ago. My Dr. just prescribed ortho tri-cyclen for me. I was very hesident about it becasue I was on Depo-Provera shot for 4yrs & gained over 50lbs. while on that. I am just one of those people who gain weight no these kind of meds. I expressed my concern to my ob/gyn due to my previous experience when he perscribed them & he told me just "not to give into the cravings." I have been on ortho for almost 14 days now & have gained almost 10 lbs. already. I called my Dr. & he told my it takes up to 6mos for the body to adjust to the hormones!!! PLEASE HELP, I'M SO FRUSTRATED! I don't want to gain anymore weight! Anyone out there that can give any suggestions as to meds that have hepled? Also, should I go see another Dr. becasue fertility isn't really a concern for me right now. If so any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
