hi, i would like to tell you about the insulin controlling medicine i think she is referring to....i was diagnosed at the Diabetes Institute here in Virginia, i too have been put on a medication called Glyset which is used to help my body when my pancreas spits out too much insulin because of this disease, i have been suffering from hypoglycemia, so this medicine helps take my carbohydrate intake, and instead of my body spitting out too much insulin at one time, the medicine helps break down the carbohydrates in my system, therefore keeping them in me longer for a more spaced out time, and therefore my pancreas does not get the signal to produce too much insulin.... i know this is a very simplistic way of saying this, sorry, but this is how i understand it.....it saves me trying to eat 6-8 small meals per day which is hard being very busy, and therefore it still keeps my system in check and keeps me from eating and then 3-4 hours later feeling ready to pass out..... i would like to talk to you more, if you want more information i can send you the information on this Glyset, which is not the only drug they can use, but is one of them...
