Sorry if this is old news for you, but I just found this site today. I live in Mankato, MN & I have seen 2 Mayo Endocrinologists that rotate coming to our local clinic. Dr. Service first prescribed metformin & I have had follow-up appointments with Dr. O'Brien. Good Luck. Diabetes & bearded ladies run rampant in my father's family -- now I know why! The metformin(glucophage) has been an overall success with me. I feel so much better.
