Re: What kind of doctor? From: Christine Gray De Zarn (anonymous@obgyn.net)Mon, 1 May 2000 07:44:58 -0500
Hi there. I think I would stick with the ob/gyn if you like him or her. The biggest dilemma is whether to keep taking metformin, or to discontinue it while you are pregnant. Some doctors advise one way, and some advise the other. But regardless, there is no reason to think that you should need a high-risk specialist. Here's to a healthy baby!!! Congratulations!!! I was diagonosed in Dec of 98 by my ob/gyn after 2 years of trying to have a baby. I got pregnant in May after taking met. Now i am not sure what type of doctor would be the best to handle my situation. Should i stick with my ob/gyn or should i go to a specialist? If so , what type should I look for? I live in sorthern Louisiana Thanks
