There is evidence that this particular bcp makes cysts WORSE. It has something to do with the tri-phasic nature of the medication; Ortho puts out some non-tri-cyclics that shouldn't cause problems. I was on O-T-C early in my illness (undiagnosed at the time), and although the acne got better, I actually worsened in symptoms and the cyst level on my ovaries.
