Re: One more questionFrom: anonymous@obgyn.netTue, 25 Apr 2000 14:54:06 BST
Hi Polly I have PCOS, two children conceived without fertility treatment, and not looking to have any more. I am unable to take a conventional BCP as I had a deep vein thrombosis during the second pregnancy. In February I was fitted with a Merina Coil for contraception - but also because it slowly releases progesterone into the local area, which it is believed will help to stop the constant periods I was experiencing. So far just one period. But very bad mood swings every other week :(( I also started the Atkins at the end of Feb. Find it easy to do and stick to. Never let myself go hungry and todate have lost 23 lbs. Weight loss has slowed, but not stopped and I am full of energy - even when rollerskating for the first time ever with the children last week. It only happened once, but I can tell you that 235 lbs hitting the floor at speed can make quite a racket LOL. HTH Best regards Sam P
