Hi Lydia: I was told by my doctor that she did not think that I was IR. I monitored my blood sugar at home when I first went on the Met because she didn't want my blood sugar to drop too low. It was always in the normal range. I have been on Met since Oct. 99. I am up to 1500 mg/day and so far it is not helping me. I am going to a new doctor next week and he has indicated that he wants to move me to a higher dosage. Anyway, I have heard that even if you are not IR, some people do have luck on Met. I am hoping that I one of them. Good luck to you! Kathy
