Re: PCOS -- LAFrom: Avalos (anonymous@obgyn.net)Thu, 20 Apr 2000 15:46:35 -0500
I am not interested in fertility, per se, either, but because PCOS affects our reproductive system and the hormones that balance it/our bodies, it is classified and treated as a reproductive endocrine disorder... I did go to an RE and even though I am not trying to get pregnant right now, he has prescribed Met to me, & said that I will probably have to take it (or some kind of medication to regulate me) for the rest of my life to combat the PCOS "stuff"... RE's do see patients who are not trying to get pregnant. They are endocrinologists who specialize in the hormones that affect our reproductive systems, that's all... and most of their patients just happen to be people who found out about their "disorders" when they tried to have a baby & couldn't... -----Original Message----- From: anonymous@obgyn.net [mailto:anonymous@obgyn.net Sent: Thursday, April 20, 2000 4:34 PM To: Multiple recipients of list PCOS-MEDICATION Subject: PCOS -- LA Can any one suggest a good MD in the Los Angeles area for PCOS? I'm not interested in fertility at this point. Thanks!
