How do you go from PCOS to having Premature Menapause? From: Lydia (anonymous@obgyn.net)Thu, 13 Apr 2000 18:35:51 -0500 (CDT)
I am 28 year old, never been pregnant I was diagnosed with PCOS three years ago. Only treatment given was Provera. Now that does not work, facial hair is worse, Provera does not promote a cycle. Infact the last one was in October of 1998. The doctor is advising to take a combination of estrogen x20days {ortho est 1.25)with provera forlast 10 days(10mg) for 30 days in total. Then wait and see, depending on what happens, then do more tests. I am besides myself. I can't find any thing that talks about going from PCOS to Premature menapause. It seems to be one or the other. If any one has any recommendations, links or advise I would be very grateful. Thank you in advance Lydia
