You might want to try Dr. Taft of Physician's East in Greenville. He is not a PCOS specialist (he is an OB/Gyn), but he was able to arrange for insulin resistance and blood sugar testing for me and get me started on Metformin. He is also very kind and understanding. He did not tell me to go away and lose weight, despite the fact that I weigh 260. In fact, he was very knowledgable about the PCOS-insulin-weight cycle.
