Re: How long do you give Met a chance?

Kathy, I have been on Met since September, 1999. I think it is only fair to wait at least 6-8 months to see if there are any changes. I know it has been six months for you, but in my opinion, the dosage may be the problem. I am on 2000mg/day, since mid-October, and I have noticed big changes. I am feeling better, first of all. Second, over the past three months of the Met, combined with a reduced carb diet, I have lost about 15lbs. I have noticed a slight improvement in hair growth, although not as much as I might like. You should talk to your doctor about upping the dosage to 2000mg/day, and then try cutting back on your carbs (if you haven't already). I am trying to keep my carbs at about 50 grams per day, and I only eat the carbs once a day (kind of like the Carbohydrate Addict's Diet). I hope you start to see results soon. Feel free to email me if I can help you with anything.
