Hi Cecilia, I have just started glucophage myself about 2 months ago. My doctor started me at 500, then asked me to do some lab work. Aftwr my numbers came back high, she told me to go ahead and raise my dosage to 1000. I will have more lab work done in another few weeks. My understanding is that du to minor discomfort (intestinal problems) it's best to start slow. 3 months seems like a lot and you may not benefit much from the low dose. Call your doctor and tell her you'd like a sooner appointment. I've learned that you really have to advocate for yourself around most medical needs, especially PCO, a condition of which people don't seem to be very aware.
