Normal GTT and Metformin

I recently took an hour long GTT test. They took one blood test after one hour, and it came back normal. Should I have a two hour test which checks insulin resistance? If it turns out that I am not insulin resistant, would I still benefit from Metformin? I do not have many cysts on my ovaries, but I do have excessive facial hair growth, high testosterone levels, irregular periods, and am about 20 pounds overweight. Any advice would be welcome, thanks.
