Rezulin's Gone, and Metformin makes me ill

Hi...

This is my first post to this forum.

Just to introduce myself, My name is Beth and I have PCOS and I am also hyperinsulimia. I have been taking Rezulin for about 1 year (maybe a little longer) and it had just recently returned my menses and I was beginning to notice a thinning in the excess hair. Now Rezulin is gone, and I am not sure what to do.

I have tried the Metformin, but it gave me "Stomach Problems" that didn't seem to be lessening. Since I tried it before, I have started Low Carbing. I have lost 30lbs since November. (my husband has lost 50 lbs <grr>)

Could some one please give me an idea what I should do next? My dr. wants me to try the Metformin again, but I was just so miserable on it before. I tried it for about a month, but didn't feel any better. Are there other Medications?

Also, I read the Article about Vanqa <sp>. When will it be available?

Thanks in Advance
