After 6 months of treatment I started having regular cycles and I noticed weight loss. The weight will not just instantly shed but I started walking and eating regular meals, I have lost 57 pounds now. I agree with the dr that it will not treat all symptoms of PCOS but it definitely helped me feel better. Fortunately I have not experienced any GI upset with the metformin like some women do. It has not slowed down my hair growth but that is something I will think about later, I thought it was more important to lose some weight and have normal cycles as well as feeling good again. If you have any questions feel free to email me. Carmella
