Hey, you have to realize that the doctors in this modern era cannot possibly know everything. There is just too much information to know. THEY ARE NOT GODS! Having said that, today's doctors should know that if a woman exhibits certain symptoms, she needs to see a specialist who does know PCOS so that he/she can properly diagnose whether it is or isn't PCOS. The attitude of power which these doctors learn and don't want to give up is what is causing some of us to be misdiagnosed, misunderstood, and untreated. That is what is wrong. Look for a doctor who is willing to listen and follow up with his own research into PCOS. Try to give him copies of what you find on the Internet and see if he is willing to seek bettering his education. I was also raised to look up to the white coats, too, but many of them have let me down, mostly due to their own vanity. I don't remain with a doctor like that anymore. In this day and age, you are the one held responsible for your own medical treatment, it seems.
