-- This won't help you, but I too have the same symptom you have but have not been diagnosed with PCOS, although I have several symptoms. I browsed this site, I searched for this spotting symptom, (stringy) because I've had this problem for several years. My last gyno, (who just left my HMO) did a DNC 3 years ago to try to correct the spotting problem. I have an appt. with a new gyno today. I plan to check this site later to see if there is a helpful response to your problem.
