You haven't had a period for 6 months but that doesn't mean your uterine hasn't been building up the lining. So what you are seeing are basically 6 mos of periods getting cleaned out. That's why they induce periods - to clean out this old guck and reduce your chances of getting nasty things like cancer. Read up on the Metformin, etc connection because taking BC pills (I assume thats what Diane is) only takes care of one tiny symptom whereas Metformin may take care of the problem. I sympathize with you - have been where you've been over the years. Was never told about drugs to reduce hirsutism or acne... had to do an IVF (but it was very successful) in order to get pregnant ... have always had a lousy metabolism and the weight to prove it ;-(.
