Treatment w/out the use of BCPFrom: Cecilia (anonymous@obgyn.net)Thu, 23 Mar 2000 14:12:52 -0600 (CST)
Hi everyone, I'm just now in the process of confirming a diagnosis and was hoping to hear from women who were undergoing treatment w/out the use of BCP. I was on BCP for several years with varied unpleasant side effects and have kinda swarn them off! My Dr. warned me that their standard treatment, which is threefold, includes 1)Met., 2) another med to address the hiruitism (sp?), I can't remember the name of the med. right now, and 3) the use of low dose BCP. I told her that I really preferred to avoid them if at all possible and that I would myself look into alternative treatments. It's important that whatever I do help regulate my periods which are few and far between. Could some of you who are not using BCP let me know what meds have worked for you? I'm also interested if anyone has found an alternative or homeopathic approach. I'm not ttc at the time and I begun Carb Addicts a week and a half ago. Thanks so much for your help!
