Kristy,
I've been taking spironolactone, 50mg twice daily for 4 years - with a
few intentional and unintentional interruptions. My first dose is
usually around 6am and the second dose right at bedtime. I sleep poorly
but don't think it's related to bathroom trips. As far as other side
effects, haven't seen any so far.

I just took it before 6 p.m. b/c of the fact that at the time that I was taking it twice a day, and had to stop taking it after almost a year b/c it made my hands too hot. Now almost 3 years later it makes me wish that I wouldn't have gone off of it b/c of the water that I still retain thanks to the PCOS.

Right now I'm hoping to convince her to let me have it longer. I'm figuring at least a month should do me ok.

Of course that is just his thoughts on the subject.
